Nahtour 1 St.Gallen - military training area as a nature reserve

The Herisau-Gossau military training area, with its two main sections Breitfeld and Neuchlen-Anschwilen, is not only used for military purposes but also serves as a habitat for many plants and animals. About 10 years ago, ecological enhancement measures created additional areas for amphibians, birds, and insects. The route provides insight into the enhanced landscape.
