Description

In summer, the hiking path Nätschen-Andermatt leads on a narrow trail, descending along lush meadows and pastures. Right at the start of the route, you are greeted with a great view of the surrounding mountains of the Gotthard region. Nätschen is considered one of the 10 sunniest places in Switzerland. The starting point Nätschen, with a view of the high alpine area up to the Furka Pass, invites you to soak up the sun. Deep below, Andermatt nestles against the mountain. From the "sunny slope of Andermatt," about 350 meters of altitude lead down into the valley. The hiking path starts at the Oberalpstrasse directly below the Nätschen train station. You walk down along the path until you briefly have to cross the street and then reach the village district Wyler. From there, hikers must turn left and walk down along the right side of the street on the sidewalk until they reach the idyllic village center of Andermatt.

Impressive are the loops of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway, which accompany you along the entire route.
