Description
18 stations invite you between Steckborn and Ermatingen – both charming fishing villages on the southern shore of Lake Constance – into the world of fables. The eleven-kilometer themed hiking trail, specially suitable for children and families, can be leisurely walked in three hours and offers spectacular views of the Lake Constance region. Always included: Meister Petz, Meister Lampe, and many other feathered or furry mythical creatures, presented on 18 panels of the fable route with their stories. Complementing the tales of famous writers such as Aesop, Jean de La Fontaine, or Gotthold Ephraim Lessing are plenty of fitting quiz questions and suggestions for games. Small knowledge bites provide aha moments in the spirit of the old fable poets. Those who get hungry from the fable of the clever fox, the vain raven, and his piece of cheese can supply themselves at two grill sites located at the forest edge from their picnic backpack. Along the entire route, numerous benches invite to rest, reflect, and enjoy the view.
