Description
From Punt Muragl, take the funicular rapidly up to 2,454 m above sea level. Here you can enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the Upper Engadin lake district. The signposted hike begins to the left above the panoramic path with a gentle ascent. Along the path, past flora and fauna and the charms of the high alpine landscape, there is an excellent view of the block glacier, which slowly flows down towards the valley like a lava stream. After a good hour, you reach Lej Muragl (2,715 m), which presents itself in beautiful colors. From Lej Muragl you climb Fuorcla Muragl, at 2,892 m above sea level the highest point of the hike. From here begins the descent into Val Prüna. The hiking trail leads along the Ova Prüna into one of the most remote side valleys of the Engadin. Here, besides the high alpine flora and fauna, you can also enjoy the silence of the mountain world. The path finally leads to Alp Serlas, an imposing building at 2,000 m above sea level, originally built for year-round operation. Nowadays, Alp Serlas is only operated during the summer. From here begins the last stage of the hike through Val Chamuera, the valley of chamois, along the river of the same name, Chamuera. On this section, several barbecue spots invite you to a well-deserved break. Refreshed, the final part follows with the narrowest sections of Val Chamuera until you finally reach La Punt Chamues-ch and thus the end of the hike.
