Mürren - Rotstockhütte loop

After many years of mountain biking in the Alps, every trail is discovered and there are no more secrets with all the bike portals. Wrong! In Mürren, there are actually still a few of these hidden gems.

From Mürren, the paved road behind the Schilthorn cable car station leads to Gimmela. The road quickly climbs quite steeply. From Gimmela, the dirt road begins to Schiltalp, where the official bike trail ends. Before the 30-minute carrying section to Wasenegg begins, the hiking trail leads to the Schiltbach.

Once on the ridge, a wooden bench and an incredible panorama beckon. The fun single trail then continues along the slope towards Rotstockhütte. A refreshment stop is a must there. Homemade cakes provide the necessary energy for the upcoming descent. Rock slabs, step sections, meadow parts, and forest alternate continuously.
