Monte Tamaro – On the traces of Lugano Bike

Monte Tamaro is one of the region’s most popular spots, providing thrilling Alpine experiences just a stone’s throw from the city. Amongst the many good reasons for visiting, we should mention the great routes for MTB enthusiasts, starting directly from the cable car arrival point at Alpe Foppa (1532 m).

The proposals cover circular routes starting and finishing at the Rivera cable car departure station. 

The construction work of the new Monte Tamaro cable car is proceeding, and the reopening is planned for summer 2025.
