Description
The route is easy to find, as the destination Tramelan is marked from the first signpost. In addition, it is part of the Chemin du Jura Bernois 91 of Wanderland Switzerland, i.e. the long-distance trail Bernese Jura. This leads from Moutier to La Chaux-de-Fonds. In the first section up to Mont Crosin, you walk through the "energy landscape" of Mont Soleil. Collectors generate electricity from solar energy and turbines from wind energy. Several panels provide information. For example, it is explained that with "repowering," the replacement and upgrading of older wind turbines, electricity production is to be increased by 40%. There are also numerous rest areas, some roofed or equipped with playground equipment. All this compensates for the fact that the view is not quite as spectacular as, for example, from the Chasseral. The Chasseral can be seen to the south, in the north the view falls on the Freiberge. From the funicular station, a short ascent over paths, roads, and pastures without major elevation changes leads to Mont Crosin. From here you walk in a "normal," that is, natural Jura landscape. Alternately through forest, on roads, and over pastures, the expanse of the Jura can be enjoyed. From Bise de Cortébert, the descent to the destination mostly takes place over pastures, through forest, and finally through the southern district of Tramelan.
