Description
Small but nice – uncomplicated and family-friendly – that's the perfect description for the "sun terrace" Marbachegg. The Bretzelibahn, as the gondola in Marbach is called, starts just outside the village of Marbach and takes about 10 minutes to go up on the north side to the spot with the unexpected, special view: Schibegütsch and Hogant form the horizon, with a view opening to the Bernese high Alps with Schreckhorn, Finsteraarhorn and Eiger in between. After a fine meal or dessert at the mountain inn, the Marbach panoramic route is perfect to get some exercise - always accompanied by the fantastic view!
The circular route starts at the mountain inn and first goes through the pretty holiday homes to Gassenegg. Here, marmots roam freely in summer. With a little patience and luck, you might catch a glimpse of a whistling marmot!
From Gassenegg, the path leads down to Speichersee. Here awaits a nice barbecue area or two cozy little lakes to relax. After a short uphill walk, you are back at the starting point Marbachegg.
