Maloja - Motta Salacina - Lägh da Cavloc - Maloja

This circular hike leads from Maloja over the Lägh da Bitabergh and Lägh da Cavloc back to Maloja. Walk through the elongated village past Maloja-Kulm up to the first sharp hairpin on the road towards Bergell. Don't miss the detour to the other side of the street to the parking lot. The view down into Bergell and the switchbacks of the Malojastrasse is impressive. The path now leads on a wide road to the parking lot and the Orden dam, which was built to protect against mudslides. After a short ascent, you reach the idyllic Lägh da Bitabergh. Now follows the considerably longer ascent past alpine rose bushes to the Motta Salacina. It is worth stopping briefly to enjoy the beautiful landscape. The path now follows along the slope before descending to the Lägh da Cavloc. Both lakes are ideal spots for resting. From here, you can hike back to Maloja on the alpine road.
