Magnificent hike with great views over the Central Plateau

Description
Our route starts in the quiet village of Farnern, which is easily accessible by car and also via aare seeland mobil. Shortly after leaving the village, the path gently ascends and leads us steadily but never steeply uphill. The landscape gradually opens up – gentle hills, meadows, and repeatedly small wooded areas providing shade.
You reach the mountain restaurant Stierenberg – and you definitely shouldn’t just pass it by. A short stop for a drink or a tasty rösti is well worth it, as the view extends far over the Central Plateau to the Alps on clear days.
Refreshed, you continue towards Rumisberg. The path rises moderately over scenic hilltops and leads repeatedly through small forest sections. Especially beautiful are the changing perspectives: sometimes the view into the valley, sometimes into the distance to the Jura main ridge. This stage is varied and enjoyable almost any time of year – whether in spring with fresh greenery, in summer with lush colors, or in autumn with golden atmosphere.
The path passes just below Hinteregg, but if you still have some energy, you should take the short detour uphill. Up there you will find not only a magnificent view but also the cozy Hinteregg restaurant, ideal for a second stop or a dessert with a panorama.
From there the path leads downhill – first across open pastures, then again through the forest – back towards Farnern, where the circle closes.
This circular hike in the Bipper Jura is a real insider tip for all who want to combine nature, exercise, and comfortable breaks. The route is never too challenging but constantly offers new views and small highlights.
On clear days, you are rewarded with fantastic long-distance views – and if "down gray and above blue" applies, don’t be surprised to meet many like-minded people.
