Description

The Madrisa circuit begins in Klosters Dorf. From there, the gondola to Madrisa, the new Schaffürggli chairlift, and the Madrisa drag lift are used to reach about 2500 m. From the Madrisa ski area, you cross eastwards to Schlappinerjoch (2203 m) and then descend northwards into the Valzifenztal. Through this valley, you reach Gargellen (1420 m) in Montafon (Austria). Using the chairlift (Schafbergbahn) and ski lift (Kristallbahn), you rise again to about 2200 m. After a short northward descent along the valley run to Gargellen, there is a roughly 45-minute ascent to the St. Antönier Joch. Touring equipment is required for this ascent.

A beautiful descent through Alpeltitälli to St. Antönien completes the Madrisa circuit. What is a wonderful 3-day tour in summer can easily be experienced in one day in winter.

After a well-deserved break in one of the cozy restaurants in St. Antönien, post buses drive to Küblis. From there, you can take the Rhaetian Railway back to Klosters Dorf.
