Description
This easy mountain hike on the Hasliberg offers plenty of views. The route partly follows the children's theme trail "Muggestutz" and crosses the beautiful wetland area Lischen.
There are two variants of the Muggestutz trail. The western route gently descends from the Käserstatt mountain lodge over the Balisalp to Lischen. Several rest stops line the way. The gondola mid-station Lischen lies on the edge of an extraordinarily beautiful wetland of national importance. In summer, countless orchids and cotton-grasses bloom there. The sedge grass is traditionally used as stable bedding. Several small wooden huts scattered across the area serve as intermediate storage. Due to its high landscape quality, the area was awarded the cultural landscape prize of the Oberland-Ost region in 2006. From the Halmersmad junction, you reach the Halti district, which belongs to the Hasliberg district Wasserwendi. Via Wysstanne, the route leads to the Biitiflüö (Beutefluh) rest area and past a cozy forest pond to the Hasliberg rehabilitation clinic.
