Leglerhütte SAC to Skihütte Obererbs

Description
The route starts at the Leglerhütte SAC. The path to the Skihütte Obererbs mainly follows a blue-white-blue marked alpine hiking trail until it merges into a red-white-red marked mountain hiking trail at the Richetlipass. The most difficult part is the descent from Chalchstückli from the Richetlipass. However, the path is well signposted and well secured with ropes.
Afterwards the path descends steeply in a zigzag pattern over a scree slope. Hiking poles are an advantage here. On this section of the path, the view of the mirror-smooth Milchspülersee at the edge overlooking the Linth valley and the lush green plateau of Wichlenmatt with the Glarner Vorab in the background is also beautiful. With some luck, you may also encounter chamois or other wildlife here.
The path continues towards the Skihütte Obererbs. From the Richetlipass onward this is a mountain hike where you can better focus on the views. Once you arrive at the Skihütte Obererbs you have the choice: take the bus back to Elm in a relaxed way or enjoy the leisurely hike on the high path to the Ämpächli mountain station?
Due to current snow conditions at the Richetlipass, the hike is not yet recommended. Current snow conditions at: www.whiterisk.ch
