Description

This hike starts at Läufelfingen train station. Along route 7, Via Gottardo from Schweiz Mobil, we climb the Homburg castle ruins, where you can get a glimpse into the past and at the same time enjoy a beautiful view over Läufelfingen and Känerkinden.

Then it goes uphill to Hotel Bad Ramsach. In the beautiful garden restaurant, a break with a refreshment is recommended. Those who do not linger here, relaxing their soul in the thermal bath and enjoying the exquisite cuisine, prepare for the steep ascent through the Tüfelschuchi to Wisenberg. The lookout tower on Wisenberg must definitely be climbed. On clear days, the Wisenberg tower offers fantastic views of the Swiss Plateau, the Basel region, and even the Vosges and Black Forest. There is also a nice picnic area at the beautiful barbecue site.

It goes gently downhill to Wisen. A last climb towards Froburg and we reach the Wisnerhöhe, where the path joins route 5, the Jura ridgeway from Schweiz Mobil. A detour to the Froburg ruins is also worthwhile here. Via Hauenstein, the route follows the old mountain pass road to Trimbach and Olten (again on route 7, Via Gottardo).

In Olten (or already in Trimbach), you can return with the "Läufelfingerli," as the train is called here, back through the Hauenstein tunnel to Läufelfingen.
