Description

From the station, you walk through the old town of La Neuveville with its pretty colorful houses and continue towards Schlossberg. Always walking uphill, you reach the Combe du Pilouvi with its beautiful waterfalls. The path continues through the forest to a farm in Bas de la Praye. Then it goes flatter along fields with a magnificent view. The descent through the forest leads to the mysterious Fontaine de Velou. Many legends are told about this fountain, the mystery remains unsolved to this day. Then it goes downhill through the forest, the path winds between the rocks. From there, La Neuveville with its famous towers is not far away. | From the station, one crosses the old town of La Neuveville with its pretty colorful houses to head towards the heights and the Schlossberg Castle. Shortly after, one still uphill joins the Combe du Pilouvi with its magnificent waterfalls and dense vegetation, then the trail continues through the forest to a farm at Bas de la Praye. From there, the relatively flat path passes through the fields and offers beautiful views. The descent through the forest leads to the mysterious Fontaine de Velou. Refuge for plague victims in the 16th century, remains of a disappeared village or simple watering place? The secret of the fountain remains intact. The path then continues to descend through the forest and just before exiting it, it meanders between rock faces. From there, La Neuveville and its towers are only a few steps away.
