Julier – Fuorcla Grevasalvas – Julier

The start is at Ospizio La Veduta. The ascent on the hiking trail begins directly on the opposite side of the road. After the first elevation meters, you have a wonderful view of the Julier Pass road. Soon the hiking trail goes down to Lake Grevasalvas and the view stretches over the mountains and the wide plain. From here you can already see the destination of the hike. The lake shore is suitable for the first short rest. Then it goes on with a gentle incline further towards Fuorcla. In the last section the trail becomes more challenging and a scree field must be crossed. The last meters go zigzag up the mountain. At the top you can see Lake Sils, Maloja, several glaciers as well as the reservoir above Maloja. There is a bench at Fuorcla Grevasalvas. Here you can sit quietly and enjoy the panorama. Return is by the same path.

Alternatively, you can continue hiking to Maloja or Sils Maria.
