Description
For the hike, take the Jakobshorn to the mountain station. At the mountain station, you first hike comfortably on a wide forest road before turning left towards Brämabüel/Teufi. Then it gets spectacular! You walk along an exposed but never dangerous ridge past Jakobshorn in the direction of Brämabüel. There is a short ascent on the ridge, but you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Davos and Lake Davos. At this point, there are many “Steinmanndli” (cairns); add a stone to the existing piles – it’s also worth taking your phone out for a photo here. After the short break, continue to the mountain station of the Bräma chairlift, where the hiking trail becomes somewhat narrower. At the junction towards Teufi, you must follow the signpost towards Jschalp. After a few minutes' walk, you already see the reservoir lake, which shimmers in various shades of blue depending on the season. From the lake, follow the wide forest road towards Jschalp; after about 1 km, turn right onto a narrow hiking path. Passing alpine roses and through a small wooded area, you will soon reach the middle station Jschalp and the restaurant of the same name. It’s worth taking a break here for a meal or a small snack. Refreshed, continue directly below Jschalp on a gravel road into the valley. At the first right curve, turn left onto a narrow hiking path and follow it until you reach a wide forest road again. Then, go briefly through a residential area before arriving at the destination at the restaurant Bolgenplaza.
