Description

First, you take the Jakobshorn cable car comfortably up to the Jakobshorn mountain station. If you’ve already done a few runs and feel hungry, we recommend the burgers at the Sun Peak restaurant! First, pedal a few meters on the access road before turning onto the narrow hiking trail at the level of the Güggelbahn. Then you follow a narrow trail behind the Jakobshorn summit. The path is very exposed but never dangerous! Right at the start, the trail on the ridge is very steep, so ride carefully! Then it goes straight ahead for a bit before a short but tough climb follows. Once at the top, you will already see many "cairns"; feel free to add a stone on top. Before the descent, you will be treated to a unique view of Davos and Lake Davos. One of the most popular photo spots in Davos! You follow the narrow trail to the mountain station of the Bräma chairlift. Just before the station, the path widens again, but if you pass the station on the right, it quickly narrows again. At the junction towards Teufi, follow the signposts heading for Jschalp. Alternatively, you can also ride towards Teufi, but this trail is only suitable for advanced bikers. After a few meters, you already see the reservoir lake and the Jakobshorn cable car. There is a small bench by the reservoir to enjoy the view. You continue on a wide access road (beware of gravel) until you reach the junction of the Technik Trail. You follow the Technik Trail past alpine roses, streams, and through a wooded area to Jschalp. Here you can also add the second part of the Technik Trail down to the valley station or take the 2nd section of the Jakobshorn cable car back up to the summit.
