Isenthal Bike - 403 SchweizMobil
Informationen zur Route
Description
Along the Path of Switzerland, you reach Isleten, where the ascent begins with a fascinating view of Lake Uri. Further into the valley, you will see the beautiful mountain village of Isenthal, where in 1820 the then last bear in Switzerland was shot after a wild hunt. After the village of Isenthal, follow the gently rising road to St. Jakob. It then becomes a little steeper through romantic mountain forests and alpine meadows to Chimiboden. Only in the innermost part of the valley does the route show its teeth. The alpine path to the highest point of the route, Hinter Alp, is steep and rough. At the cozy alpine hut, enjoy the view and local delicacies. Refreshed, you now take the descent under your wheels. The singletrail after the Gossalp junction will delight you. Along the cool Isenthalerbach, follow the ascent route back to the village exit. The singletrail over Birchi rewards you at the Chäppeli viewpoint with a unique view of Lake Uri. Enjoy a short break here before setting off on the winding descent along Isenthalerstrasse.
Note The route is continuously marked with No. 403.
