Into the mountain world of Ilanz

You will be surprised at how quickly you transition from Ilanz into the peaceful mountain world. The only somewhat challenging section is the short, steep stretch at Crap da Sevgein. Otherwise, you’ll be walking along easy dirt roads or hiking paths, enjoying the fantastic views and nature.

The tour starts in Ilanz, the first town on the Rhine. You will hike over the Glenner and through the idyllic village of Sevgein. After that, the path climbs relatively steeply to Crap da Sevgein. The tough ascent is rewarded with an incredible panoramic view of the Surselva. Next, continue to the small but charming village of Riein. Then, descend back to Sevgein. Finally, the route follows the Glenner river back to Ilanz.
