Hüttentour Surselva Siat - Vrin (Stage 2)

The path starting directly on the outskirts of Siat winds through the dense forest down to Rueun and is well known among mountain bikers. In the valley floor, you finally roll to Ilanz. Here the post bus waits to take you up to Obersaxen, although fit mountain bikers can take on the 650 metres of altitude up to the district of Misanenga in Obersaxen under their own power.

The muscle power saved by the post bus ride can then be invested in the remaining ascent up to Alp Nova. For this, follow the asphalt road to Wali and there you reach the signposted mountain bike route up to Alp Nova. The alp is the well-known transition from Obersaxen into Val Lumnezia and on this stage of the Hüttentour Surselva the starting point of the great final section. On fast meadow trails, you ride down towards Lumbrein, then follow the route to the right above the village towards Vrin. This final section is top class and leads on fine singletrails through flowing ups and downs always above the road until you reach the rustic mountain village of Vrin, where the next aperitif awaits in Casa Leon to celebrate the day.
