Description

This walk starts in the historic Hohle Gasse in Immensee, the place where Tell is said to have shot the Habsburg bailiff Gessler. In Friedrich Schiller's "William Tell" Tell says (IV, 3): "He must come through this hollow lane. There is no other way to Küssnacht."

The Hohle Gasse was completely renovated in 2005 and is an experience for young and old. At the information pavilion, you can read the story again. After passing through the Hohle Gasse, you reach the Tellerenweg towards Gesslerburg. A beautiful view over Küssnacht and Lake Lucerne awaits you. You can also visit the historic bone hammer at Gesslerburg. Numerous barbecue spots invite you to a cozy picnic. From there you continue towards the village center of Küssnacht, from where you can continue your journey by bus and boat.
