Hiking experience Silener Berge High Trail

Start:

The enjoyment of heights begins already on the Silenen–Chilcherbergen aerial cableway. At around 1,100 m above sea level, you start your hike high above the Reuss valley. Ahead of you lies a diverse mountain landscape with open meadows, striking rock faces, and wide views. After an initial, leisurely section, you reach the sunny slopes above Silenen – a peaceful place to enjoy nature.

Stopover:

The path continues slightly uphill over the ridges of the Silenen mountains. Time and again, there are deep views into the Reuss valley as well as panoramas of the surrounding mountain world. Along the route, several places invite you to take a short break with your own provisions. The last few kilometers gently descend through light forests and over scenic alpine pastures – accompanied by the panorama between Bristen, Windgällen, and Urirotstock.

Destination:

After a total of about 2.5 to 3 hours, you reach the Edelweiss mountain inn. Here awaits the culinary conclusion of your hike: with the included voucher worth CHF 15.-- you enjoy a refreshment – whether a drink, a piece of cake, or a hearty dish.
