Description
The world-famous artist Giovanni Segantini once spent summers in a hut on Alp Tussagn. The original hut has fallen into ruin and no longer exists today. From Alp Tussagn, Segantini painted among others the pictures "Cows at the Watering Trough" and "Noon in the Alps." In both paintings, the snow-covered mountain chain with the peaks Piz Curver and Piz Toissa on the opposite valley side can be seen. However, the painted landscape only corresponds partially to the real one because Segantini considerably changed it by omitting intermediate spaces.
Plang la Curvanera can be reached by bike and hiking bus or by car. Further information is available under the section "Arrival."
