Description
From Oberdiessbach station first to the church and then following the Chise to the cemetery. Here begins the long ascent that must be overcome up to the high ridge of the Churzenberg. From the Güggel, magnificent views to the south. Now begins a two-hour effortless high-altitude hike, during which viewpoint follows viewpoint. From the Barschwandhubel it first goes through high forest, where the damage caused by the storm “Lothar” in 1999 can occasionally still be seen. At Chnubel the path leads into open terrain and gently descends to the front farmsteads of Äbersold. From the second group of houses a concrete path winds up to the edge of the forest. Magnificent views of the Alpine chain and across the Aare valley to the Jura. From Ringgis to Müliseile there are two alternative options: a shaded path along the forest ridge and a sunny path across the south slope, with the shaded path also offering splendid views. At the forest edge east of Müliseile there is the option for a ten-minute detour to the 42 m tall wooden lookout tower in the Goucherewald, a landmark of the area. The path onward to Hotel Chuderhüsi also offers much for the eye. Framed by Schrattenflue, Schibengütsch and Hohgant, the Würzbrunnen chapel is the center of the view. In a wide loop, the hiking path avoids the asphalt and passes the historically interesting architectural gem directly down to Röthenbach i.E.
