Gyrenbad – Schauenberg – Gyrenbad

The starting point of the hike is the Gyrenbad guesthouse: From here, follow the road about 200m uphill and turn right at the signpost towards Schauenberg. The hike leads you along the edge of the forest, later continuing on shady forest paths uphill. On the last section of the ascent, you hike steeply up root paths to the Schauenberg castle ruins.

Enjoy the fantastic view over the Tösstal and the neighboring cantons of Thurgau and St. Gallen. After a relaxing break and a strengthening picnic, continue to the intersection at Tannweid. From here, follow the path through the forest, which takes you to Neugrüt and Schnurrberg. Refresh yourself at the Schnurrberg alpine inn with a drink and treat yourself to a regional snack. Listen to the wonderful tinkling of the bells and enjoy nature.

Refreshed, continue the path through the forest to Turbenthal. From there, walk through the village towards Hunzikon. From Hunzikon, turn right onto Girenbadstrasse. After about 400m, turn left and hike up along the hiking trail to the Gyrenbad guesthouse.
