Grubenberg Trail - Abländschen (signposted)

The snowshoe trail to the Grubenberghütte starts at the winter parking lot Birematte, above Abländschen. It can be reached on foot from the restaurant Zitbödeli via the winter hiking trail (+ 1.2 km). From the starting point Birematte, follow the pink marker poles over wide meadows up to the Alp Undere Ruedersberg. The route then leads on the snow-covered road up to the Mittelberg pass (1635 m above sea level) and from there the remaining 200 vertical meters steeply up to the Grubenberghütte. Here, in appropriate weather, you will be rewarded with a magical view stretching from the Bernese Alps over the Wildhorn massif to the peaks of the Pays d’Enhaut.
