Greina for Endurance Hikers

The old connecting path from Olivone to Campo through the “Gola del Sosto” is the final reward on this eventful route. It starts in Graubünden, far back in the Lumnezia in the Surselva. From Vrin you first hike towards Plaun Tgirn and cross the Paravalsauns bridge. From Puzzatsch you then meet the shuttle bus travelers and take the path over the Diesrut Pass to the Greina plateau. Those who want to finish the day early take the dizzying hanging bridge to the Terrihutte. Those who want to stay overnight in Ticino already cross the entire Greina plain to the Capanna Scaletta on the first day. Shortly before the hut, on the Passo della Greina, we lead you on a somewhat more demanding route under the rock arch “Arco della Greina.” This section is marked as an “alpine hiking route” with white-blue-white colors. Those who want it easier take the path over the ridge. From the hut only the “sturdy” ones take the path over Campo to Olivone on the same day.

After a restful hut night the finale is pure pleasure. The stage from Capanna Scaletta leads through dreamy Ticino settlements like Dàigra, and finally over the old connecting path from Campo to Olivone. An ending that could hardly be more impressive.
