Description

The smallest nut cake in the world, the source of the Rhine, the only lighthouse in the Alps and the beginning of Uri. There is plenty on offer on this stage. From Disentis, the Glacier Bike Tour runs along a secluded, beautiful forest path along the route of the Rhaetian Railway on a panoramic hillside.

In this way, you gain almost imperceptible metres in altitude on the way to the Oberalp Pass. The route of the Glacier Bike Tour leads to the Oberalp Pass on forest tracks away from the road.

At the Oberalp Pass at 2,044 metres, not only does the obligatory "passport photo" await at the Oberalp Pass sign, but also the only lighthouse in the Alps.

The route now heads west along the road alongside the Oberalpsee lake (please be considerate of anglers and walkers) to Uri and down the road, hairpin bend by hairpin bend, to Andermatt. You can already see into the Ursern valley, where the next stage will lead to the next pass. But now it's time to enjoy the descent and roll into Andermatt.
