Description

The cycling route starts at the Olten swimming pool and leads to Trimbach. From there, you cycle on the pass road over the Hauenstein to Wisen. After the wonderful descent to Zeglingen follows the feared "Zeglinger-Stutz" with a sharp 20% incline. Then the route goes from Oltingen via Rebenhof to Anwil and further via Spissen to Kienberg. In Kienberg begins the last challenging climb up to Salhöhe. This highest point of the route demands all the energy reserves of every athlete. Afterwards, you cycle via Breitmis to Erlinsbach. The route then continues to Niedergösgen, past the Olten-Gösgen power plant. Here you cross the Aare river twice and can rest a bit if needed. After the Aarefeld, you arrive at Däniken. From here you cycle via Oberdorf on Löchlistrasse uphill to Walterswil. At the church, turn right, up to Engelberg. You are rewarded with the breathtaking view over the last pedaled kilometers. From there, enjoy the descent; from Engelberg the route leads over Choliweid into the quarters of Starrkirch-Wil. Via the wooden bridge in Olten, you finally reach the Olten swimming pool again.

Note(s) From Olten to Hauenstein you travel on a very busy main road. Caution is advised at Hauenstein.
