Description
Starting in Rorschach, you soon reach the Goldach delta on the Geo-Route. It continues via Hagenwil and Zihlschalcht to Sulgen. Along the way, you learn that we owe today's wine to Ice Age glaciers and that the rugged Holenstein was also formed by an Ice Age river. After Sulgen, the route follows the Thur. Always following the course of the Thur, you finally reach Weinfelden.
After Weinfelden, the route first follows the Thur. Shortly before Märstetten, you reach the Wister pond, a nice spot for a picnic. Then it goes across the Seerücken and along a former glacier tongue through the Seebach valley. The lakes of this valley are also remnants of the former glacier. Finally, the route joins the High Rhine. The imposing Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen await as the final highlight and destination of the route.
