Furggelen Snowshoe Trail

Description
At the start in Brunni, the Great Mythen dominates a considerable part of the view. We hike uphill through the quiet nature – sometimes through open terrain, sometimes through forest sections. Over Alp Furggelen, we reach the highest point of the route: the Furggelenstock. The panoramic maps on the viewing platform help to identify the many peaks of the Ybrig area and the Muotathal mountains.
Now the descent towards Zwäcken begins. Here the path leads through the ski area of the Mythen region. On broad winter hiking trails, it goes towards Holzegg. With the Great Mythen right in front, we tilt our heads back to see its peak. Looking down, the view sweeps over the Schwyz valley basin and Lake Lucerne.
For the return trip to Brunni, snowshoes and cable car are available options. Back at the starting point, at the bus stop or parking lots, the last glance before heading home falls again on the Great Mythen.
