Description

Cycling through the idyllic vineyards and along the lovely banks of the Klingnau reservoir is a real experience. There are many animal and plant species to discover at the waterfowl sanctuary.

In the market town of Bad Zurzach, which is famous for its thermal baths, you can get on the saddle and master the metres in altitude up the Zurziberg by bike. Or you can pedal elegantly by e-bike to the highest point of the tour. This is followed by a refreshing descent to Tegerfelden, where the Aargau Cantonal Wine Museum is located. From vine shoots to wine tasting: here you can experience wine culture on four museum floors.

Via Würenlingen you reach the Aare, cross the mighty river and find yourself directly in front of the Paul Scherrer Institute. You pass the wine-growing village of Villigen and finally reach Böttstein.

Parallel to the Klingnau reservoir, the route takes you to Koblenz, where the Aare and the Rhine join. You cycle through idyllic greenery back to Bad Zurzach, where the Therme Zurzach spa with its new, spacious outdoor facilities and natural swimming pond awaits you.
