Description
Enjoy plenty of sun, wide views, and floral splendor on the high-altitude hike from the Tällihütte to the Wendenläger at the foot of the Titlis.
On the sunny south slopes at the foot of the Gadmerfluh lie alpine pastures that delight not only hikers with a colorful array of blossoms in summer but also attract countless butterflies. One of these green areas is the approximately 8-hectare Heuwvorsess. Herbs and flowers spice the fresh mountain air with a delicate fragrance. The view down into the valley floor and the panorama towards Titlis and the Susten area are magnificent. The Dexter cows grazing here also eat plants that ordinary cows refuse, preventing valuable dry habitats from becoming overgrown. The magnificent mountain pasture was awarded the cultural landscape prize of the Oberland-Ost region in 2007. It is located on the high trail that leads from the Tällihütte into the valley via the Alpstafel Alpligen to Raflue, Mettlenberg, and the Gschletter to the Feldmoosweid. From there, it goes down via Saageli to Obermaad.
