From Olten to Grenchen

The bike tour begins in the centrally located and charming town of Olten. Olten features a small old town with narrow alleys and garden cafés, churches, a city tower with a great view, and a sturdy wooden bridge crosses the Aare. During the bike tour, you will experience the intact nature of the Jura heights, cozy villages, and lush meadows. In Oensingen, you can even travel back to the 13th century, as Bechburg Castle is waiting to be discovered.

Back at the Aare, you can already see from afar the Solothurn local mountain Weissenstein and the mighty St. Ursus Cathedral. A stopover in the picturesque streets of the old town or at the Solothurn Riviera is worthwhile before you continue to follow the course of the Aare. In Altreu, the European stork village, you will discover countless of these migratory birds on the roofs. You can now follow the pleasant bike path and listen to the Aare all the way to Grenchen.
