From Kaien to St. Anton

After starting in Kaien, it soon goes uphill. Wide meadows and farms shape the landscape along the mostly paved path. Upon reaching Tanne, the trail only slightly rises and falls. On this high plateau, with every meter closer to St. Anton, you see more mountains. On one side, the panorama stretches to the Austrian Alps, on the other, the Säntis rises majestically.
