From Heiden to the Kaienspitz

The circular hike from Heiden passes idyllic farms on the Bischofsberg over Kaien to the Kaienspitz. Here you will find a breathtaking panoramic view. The panorama offers views over Lake Constance, to the Säntis massif, and you can also see St. Gallen in the distance. The route is definitely varied. Across green meadows and through the cool forest, it goes constantly up and down – just as you know from the Appenzell region. As a secret tip for mushroom hunters, the Tannenbüler Forest near Krönli is recommended. There you can find a variety of mushrooms, and in some places, berries also grow on the forest edge. Shortly after the Kaienspitz stands the striking red Kaienhaus of the Nature Friends Section Rorschach directly at the forest edge. On weekends, the Nature Friends house is served.
