Freiämterweg: Dietwil - Muri

In Dietwil stands a wonderful baroque church. In Sins, the mighty wooden bridge over the Reuss, the stately local church and the district of Meienberg, a former Habsburg town, are worth a visit. In Mühlau, the view to the east towards the Zug nature reserve “Rüssspitz” and the Zurich Knonauer Amt is worthwhile. Benzenschwil is the starting point of the children's trail. When hiking with children, this visit is a must. In Merenschwand, the restaurant Schwanen, the local museum Postlonzihaus and the 12th-century church of St. Vitus form an intact Freiämter village core. With the local museum “Pflug und Korn,” the magnificent complex of the former Benedictine monastery, and the three museums in the monastery grounds, every culture lover will be satisfied in Muri.
