Freiämterweg: Bremgarten - Othmarsingen

The starting point is the medieval town of Bremgarten on the Reuss with its wooden bridge and the former Capuchin monastery. After Bremgarten West, we immerse ourselves in the mysterious Wohlerwald full of beautiful ponds, old growth and the Erdmannlistein, a mystical and widely known erratic boulder. In Waltenschwil we admire the Freiämter legend trail with its 12 sculptures as well as the animal park. The next village is Wohlen, the largest place in the Freiamt with the straw museum in the park, which features a world-unique collection of straw sets, hats, tools and machines.

Hägglingen welcomes discovery-hungry hikers with its attractive village center and its church. From the village it continues up to the Meiengrün observation tower with its unique view over the open Lower Freiamt, literally the highlight of this stage. Then the descent to Othmarsingen follows.
