"Forests and Wide Views", hike, Gibswil – Ghöch – Steg

The hike starts from Gibswil station along the road towards the forest. After a few hundred meters, the hiking trail branches off to the left and leads past the Bachtelweiher (currently emptied due to upcoming renovations) and through the spruce forest.

After the steep ascent to the Bachtel at 1115 meters above sea level, you deserve a break. At the summit, the Bachtel-Kulm restaurant awaits. Refresh yourself on the sun terrace with seasonal offerings. 166 steps lead up to the observation platform of the Bachtel tower, where you are rewarded with a wonderful panorama.

Then the same path leads back a short way. After that, you follow the hiking trail to Allmen. The narrow path leads over the Frauebrünneli, through the beautiful forest until you reach the junction towards Ghöch. At the top of Ghöch, you are rewarded with culinary delights and a magnificent view at the Berg Ghöch restaurant.

Next, the path follows a short section of road and then turns right into the forest towards Ghöchweid. In the end, it goes steeply downhill to Steg, from where you can reach the station in a few minutes.
