Fog in the valley, snow on the mountains

You can hike well in winter on the streets and paths between Lachen and Schachen. However, the snow is still only visible in the mountains. Even so, the Vorderländer border area between Inner- and Outer Rhodes is a good hiking choice at this time of year. On the one hand, it is mostly above the fog at 850 meters above sea level, and on the other hand, it offers wide views over a lovely hilly landscape onto the Alpstein and over the Rhine valley to the Vorarlberg peaks.
