Flower paradise on Montagne de Droit

From Tramelan station, first keep near the railway line going downstream, cross it just before Tramelan-Dessous station and ascend southeast towards the forest. Already half an hour later you reach at the houses of Prés Renaud the altitude of 1000 m. Now the little road turns into a farm track, which runs slightly above the farmstead Plan Maire over the surprisingly wide plateau of La Tanne. Wide pastures, shady mighty trees and the view of the forested flanks of the surrounding Jura heights (Montbautier, Moron, Montoz, Montagne du Droit), plus the spicy air spread holiday atmosphere. At point 993, you change to the north side of the access road. The farm track enters the forest and gently descends to Pâturage de la Rochette, the pasture hill in front of Tavannes. Here you enjoy a nice view of the large town, from which outstanding people such as Theophil Voirol (in the Napoleonic era general, peer of France, commander of troops in Algiers and governor of the fortress Besançon) have emerged.
