Experience the Jura height of Montoz

Description
If there were a statistic on the proportion of guesthouses per building in an area, this region would surely rank among the best. Some restaurants and many of the alpine farms along the way serve passers-by. At the starting point of the hike Untergrenchenberg, the indication Tiefmatt (La Bluée) should be noted. Obviously, you are here at the French (Bernese Jura) - German language border. First, a wooded ditch has to be crossed. At Le Buement / Längschwang, a memorial stone reminds that Willi Ritschard died here while hiking at the age of 65. Now follow the signpost to Sonceboz. Gently up and down, the route follows a country road and a field path past the farms La Bluée / Tiefmatt, Harzer, Métairie de Court to Montagne de Sorvilier. To the right, the tower on the Moron is visible. In good visibility and with a bit of luck, Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau can be spotted to the left. Further as a high-altitude hike, the route passes by Bergerie de Bévilard, La Rochette to Métairie de Malleray and Werdtberg. Now the descent begins. The view opens to the Saint Immer valley and Sombeval. The road drops more steeply here; after Brahon it turns into a path. A last section across a meadow is followed by a longer, partly steep descent through the forest. After the forest, you enter the village of Sonceboz and reach the destination at Sonceboz-Sombeval station.
