Description
Escholzmatt-Marbach has been known for decades as a popular cross-country skiing arena. The medal win by local Sepp Haas at the 1968 Grenoble Olympic Games triggered a real cross-country skiing boom, and the beautiful Escholzmatt-Marbach ski area became nationally known in days.
A bit outside the village of Escholzmatt, the trail runs past idyllic farms. You always enjoy the wonderful landscape with views of the local mountain Beichlen. With easy and medium difficulty levels, the trail is ideal for beginners as well as professionals.
Discover the network of trails Marbach-Escholzmatt-Bumbach with a total of 50 km of trails in classic and skating styles, and enjoy the incomparable views. Afterwards, you have several options: from Wiggen to Camping Marbach, round trail Camping-Marbach, village round trail Marbach, and many more up to Bumbach-Kemmeriboden.

With any pass or ticket for the cross-country trail, you can ride the postbus route Escholzmatt-Kemmeriboden for free during winter season! There are 15 postbus stops along the trail.
