Description
Rarely is there so much to experience on such a short hike. It already begins with the name of the stop to get off, "Erdmannlistein". Do the hikers there possibly already expect the first Erdmannli? Correct, these are the two Erdmannli made by artist Alex Schaufelbühl for the 100th anniversary of the Bremgarten-Dietikon railway in 2002, made of shell limestone, which the passing hikers curiously observe. After just 300 meters, their home, the Erdmannlistein, is reached. A magnificent rock formation made up of a group of granite erratics with a legendary history of the Erdmannli.
The Freiämter hiking trail continues towards the Freiämter Sagenweg. On the way, a short detour to the Cholmoos Pond is worthwhile. At the dance floor of Zufikon, the Sagenweg is reached. Twelve individual and group sculptures embedded in the forest over a length of 800 meters, created by various artists from various materials, each relating to a Freiämter legend.
