Emme Leisure Path (In the Valley of the Emme)

What awaits you on the path?

Sometimes gentle, sometimes dramatic and wild. The Emme shows many faces. The journey initially leads downstream, always along the Emme.

Then you follow the path up to the terraces above the Emme. There lie the villages, churches, and castles from the Middle Ages. The sagas tell you about the eventful history of the present. At the Wartenstein ruin, the old walls await you and you can experience medieval life.

The leisure path brings the diversity of history, culture, and nature along the path to life and thus becomes an impressive experience.

Participation is free and involves no obligation.

The leisure path works via a mobile website that can be opened directly in your smartphone’s internet browser. All you need for the walking experience is an internet-capable smartphone. You will use the device extensively during the hike, so a full battery is advantageous. To enjoy the narrations in the best possible quality, you can also use headphones on the leisure path.

A reservation or pre-registration is not necessary. You can walk the path whenever you want. The leisure path is connected to BLS public transport.

We recommend good footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and provisions.
