Elm - Kärpfscharte

The Kärpfscharte lies between Gross and Chli Kärpf at around 2649 m above sea level. From Elm Büel P.1261, the path leads after a short stretch of open terrain into the forest, where after exiting, the Skihütte Obererbs is soon in sight. The path continues over open terrain to Hanegg and past Rotstock (2330 m above sea level) to the distinctive shoulder at about 2400 m above sea level, now along the east side following a small valley to the Kärpfscharte P. 2649 (ski depot). Depending on conditions, either on foot or by ski to the summit of Chli Kärpf. The descent follows the same route back to Büel P.1261.
