Description
From Ilanz, you roll along a small road to Sevgein and then quickly gain altitude on it. You pass through the village of Riein and finally reach Alp da Riein. Almost 1200 meters of altitude have been covered on the road so far, and the highest point is almost reached. On a meadow path, which depending on your energy you either ride or sometimes push, you then reach the Dutjeralp with its fantastic view. This overlooks the Rhine Gorge into the Chur Rhine Valley, and on the horizon, the Prättigau Rätikon can be seen. To the left, the view climbs the Surselva up to the Tödi. The descent then takes place on a smooth and fun singletrail down to Oberdutjen. Here, you bear right, pass Alp Giera, and reach the second part of the singletrail descent. Finally, you roll down the road to Valendas to the banks of the Rhine. Right by the station, the trail along the Rhine bank begins, which leads from here to Castrisch and further to Ilanz.
