Description
The culinary hike takes you from Au to Rebstein-Marbach. You can expect great views and three culinary highlights in first-class excursion restaurants. After the first stage past meadows and gently uphill on the Rhine Valley high trail among vineyards, you have the difficult choice of starters at Restaurant Maienhalde. The route continues through the village of Berneck via Heerbrugg to Widnau. Part of the route runs along the road, which is flat, and allows you to get to know the Rhine Valley on foot. The main course is served at the restaurant of the Businesshotel Forum Widnau (in the landscaped courtyard). After this stop, the path leads along the inland canal before tackling a climb to Rebstein to enjoy the well-deserved dessert at Restaurant Schloss Weinstein with views of the Rhine Valley. The hike ends at Rebstein-Marbach station.
