Crossing of the Rätian Alps

Description
The low altitude of the starting point and the end point make this tour an impressive crossing and allow you to clearly experience the change in vegetation and landscape in the different altitude levels. Those who reach Schruns around midday can also walk in the valley on beautiful paths mostly next to the road in about 2 hours to Galgenul, to then start the ascent to Gargellen well warmed up. If someone arrives only later in the afternoon, an additional overnight stay in St. Gallenkirch before the ascent is recommended. There is also the possibility to go from Gargellen to Klosters in one day and not stay overnight in Schlappin. In this case you will walk from Schlappin on the direct path through the ravine and not via Flue to Klosters. But it would be a pity to leave the magnificent high mountain landscape so quickly. After all, we are hikers who want to experience the beauty of nature with all our senses and are not on the run.
